VFX Supervisor

The incumbent is responsible to identify, understand, disseminate, represent and uphold the artistic vision of the client through all the stages of post production projects. He is the customer’s representative. In addition, he is responsible for disseminating the information obtained to all heads of departments taking care to respect the work plan. The person must also ensure the direction and management of team leaders while providing mentoring, Information and the necessary training.

Compositing Supervisor

The incumbent is responsible for the direction and management of the compositing team while providing coaching and training. He is responsible for the entire process of compositing until the image sequences have been completed and delivered. Moreover, as a compositing supervisor, he brings and implements his expertise both technically and artistically to achieve the desired results as specified for each project.

Producer

The incumbent is responsible for planning, managing the entire project including the delivery schedule for production and all aspects for the visual effects project. He oversees all production sequences and respects the budget parameters. The producer acts as a representative of the client and Modus.

Visual Effects Artist (SFX)

The incumbent is responsible for the design, creation and realization of digital visual effects and various simulations through several techniques and software.

Technical Director (TD)

The incumbent is responsible for the technical management of the production structure. He must design, create and develop the tools that will help to solve technical problems encountered on the production floor.

Technical Director Lighting

The incumbent is responsible to create, adjust and integrate lighting and environmental elements of a scene from any type of film while maintaining continuity from one image to another.

Layout Artist

The incumbent is responsible for designing and editing a basic scene and the setting up of cameras to provide a continuum in the cinematic direction of all sequences. He creates a cinematic vision that reflects the original intent of the scene in a 3D environment.

Look Development Artist/shading or texture artist

The incumbent is responsible for the design, creation and implementation in all continuity of the finished visual images using the latest technologies available. He is also responsible for creating a primary lighting scene and a pre-compositing scene which will set an example to be used as a reference by the departments that will follow.

Project manager

The incumbent is responsible for planning, creating and managing the calendar and schedule of the production team assigned to the project based on the parameters he receives from the client. He acts as a link between the client and the production team to requirements while meeting the time schedule and budget predicted. He must also, in collaboration with the coordinator and supervisor, monitor the project and ensure its smooth running.

TD Tracking

The incumbent is responsible to identify and replicate the movements of camera scenes based on technical information obtained, all in order to generate the development of 3D scenes. He must match the camera movement using his software. He can even be brought to do the work of rotoscoping.

Visual Effects Coordinator

The incumbent is responsible for prioritizing, organizing and managing the weekly and daily workload of the production team based on information obtained by both customers and internal teams. He is also responsible for entering information and specifications pertaining to each task in the database. He informs, delegates and coordinates the tasks assigned to each department.

Digital Compositor

The incumbent is responsible to do the consolidation and integration of multiple and diverse elements in order to generate sequences of images technically and visually fluid and superior quality. He must prepare the shots, integrate 3D elements and do the final compositing.
